The 2012 season kicks off this Saturday 31 March with a fast and furious pre-season Lightning Premiership. Played using the Lanco Super Series Rules, the Uni clubs will unite to play a 9-a-side round robin tournament featuring 15 minutes halves with the men and women playing one half each.
Other modified rules include:
Relaxed feet and obstruction interpretations
1 player to stay in the forward half at all times
4 on 4 short corners with defenders starting on the baseline and attackers on the attacking 25 line
Penalty strokes replaced by 1-on-1 penalty shootouts starting from the attacking 25
Get along and see our guys and girls go for glory. It’s just $2 entry and the bar, kiosk and BBQ will be running. Plus, there’s a Junior Gala Day from 12-2pm on THC3 for the 12 and unders.
Men’s Training 2012
TUMHC is pleased to announce that 2012 Men’s training times are:
A Pool (from this week): Tuesday 6.00pm THC2 and Thursday 8.00pm THC1
B Pool (from this week): Tuesday 8.15pm THC3
Juniors (from 20 March): Tuesday 5.00pm THC2
The 2012 senior season will start on the weekend after Easter (14-15 April).
All returning and new players are welcome.
TUWHC 2011 Survey and Assistance Register
Thank you to all those members who took the time to respond to our 2011 club survey. The survey results will be published in the next edition of Dribble.
As part of this survey over 50% of those who responded indicated that you would be willing to assist the committee in some form without actually committing to becoming a full committee member.
We are currently establishing a register of those people who would be prepared to help out from time-to-time. We would love to hear from you if you are one of those people and have attached a separate form for those people. Assistance is gratefully accepted and helps the club’s development.
