Men's B Pool training times
Training times for all players wanting to play 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade have been announced.
For March, training will be 8pm on Wednesday nights on Turf 1 at the Tasmanian Hockey Centre.
From April until the end of the season, training will be at 7.15pm on Wednesday nights on Turf 3 at the Tasmanian Hockey Centre.
Training starts on Wednesday 3 March 2010 and the first weekend of the season is 27-28 March (the weekend before Easter).
Women’s Annual General Meeting
The University Women’s Hockey Club will be holding its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 3 March at 7.00 pm in the new function centre at the Tasmanian Hockey Centre.
All members are encouraged to attend to hear feedback on the 2009 season and meet the new committee.
Women’s B Pool try outs
The University Women’s Hockey Club will be holding try outs for all B Pool teams during the first week of March. Dates and times are listed below.

Seven TUMHC Juniors In State U18 Squad
Seven TUMHC players have been selected in the 2010 Tasmanian Under 18 squad selected over the weekend of 30-31 January. TUMHC congratulates squad members Ben Read (Vice Captain), James Clifford, Andy Isles, Iain McClung, Lachlan Oakford, Jackson Willows and Grant Woodcock as well as Charles Haward who was selected as a train-on player. Well done to all the lads that nominated for selection and TUMHC thanks the parents and coaches of all the boys for their support.
TUMHC Juniors Represent Tasmania In Indoor Hockey
TUMHC congratulates Pat Meaney and Lachlan Oakford for their selection in the 2010 Tasmanian Under 18 Indoor team. The lads travelled to Perth for the national championships in January where Tasmania finished just out of the semi finals in 5th with wins over ACT and SA and a narrow 5-4 loss to eventual runners-up WA.
Uni Blues Awarded To Adam Clifford
TUMHC is thrilled to announce that Adam “Mixo” Clifford has been awarded a Full Blue by the Tasmania University Union Sports Council. Blues are high honours awarded for outstanding academic and sporting achievement. In 2009, Mixo completed his University degree, represented Tasmania at senior level as a member of the Tassie Tigers, captained the TUMHC A Grade team, won the A Grade leading goal scorer trophy and coached both the A Reserve and Under 18 (black) teams. Congratulations from TUMHC and wishes him all the best for the 2010 club and representative season.

The Tasmanian University Women’s Hockey Club seeks senior and junior coaches for the 2010 season. To see a full list of vacant coaching positions click here.
